About The Position

The Grader prepares items for the sales floor by carefully inspecting merchandise and assigning prices according to company guidelines. The role includes evaluating quality and condition, sorting items into sellable, non-sellable, and recyclable categories, and handling seasonal and specialty items according to established guidelines. Graders work to meet production time standards while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. On-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Consistent and reliable.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift and handle merchandise bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and meet other job-related demands for extended periods.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow established safety procedures.
Successful completion of a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Inspect clothing, shoes, and household items for stains, tears, odors, and other defects.
Categorize items as sellable, non-sellable, or recyclable according to quality standards.
Handle seasonal and specialty items according to guidelines.
Ensure items meet quality and condition requirements for customer satisfaction.
Accurately grade and price items within established time standards while maintaining quality.
Participate in team training on quality standards and seasonal guidelines.
Rotate positions regularly to help prevent repetitive motion injuries.
Assist with other tasks or workstations as needed.
Uphold safety and quality standards in all tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
