About The Position
Aikahi Elementary is seeking a dedicated Grade K Teacher. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, candidates have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a Program to continue employment. Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements must be demonstrated annually. Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Enroll in a Program to continue employment with the Department if hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program
- Satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements within each year of employment
- Have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
