About The Position

The Cache County School District seeks educators who are committed to high standards of instruction, professional integrity, and the well-being of every student. Applicants for teaching positions in the Cache County School District must hold a current Utah educator license and appropriate endorsements for the assigned subject or grade level. This position is for a half-time or .50 fte educator. The class will be during the morning or AM part of the day. The Teacher – Elementary supports the instructional program by providing classroom instruction aligned with district curriculum standards, supervising students in classroom and school environments, developing lesson plans, and collaborating with staff and families to support student learning and development. The teacher monitors student progress, maintains classroom management, and promotes a safe, engaging learning environment.

Requirements

Hold a current Utah educator license and appropriate endorsements for the assigned subject or grade level.
Administering assessments and instructional strategies
Maintaining student records and documentation
Using classroom technology and instructional tools
Knowledge of child development and instructional practices
Knowledge of curriculum design and lesson planning
Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom organization
Knowledge of applicable education laws and policies
Ability to establish effective relationships with students, parents, and staff
Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct
Ability to work collaboratively within school teams
Job-related teaching experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in a job-related area.
Elementary Teaching License
Maintains professional certifications and licenses
Criminal Background Clearance

Responsibilities

Adapt classroom instruction to address diverse learning needs and individualized student plans.
Administer developmental and subject-specific assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instruction.
Develop lesson plans aligned with district curriculum guidelines and learning objectives.
Facilitate student learning through group and individual instruction designed to promote academic and interpersonal growth.
Manage student behavior to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Counsel students to support academic performance, personal development, and problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.

Prepare and maintain student records including grades, attendance, and anecdotal documentation.
Participate in school meetings, professional learning communities, and professional development.
Report incidents related to student safety or policy violations according to district guidelines.
Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, and administrators regarding instructional programs and student progress.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
