About The Position
The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. This position is for a Grade 7 Mathematics Teacher at Kailua Intermediate School. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, there is a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license, requiring enrollment in a program and active pursuit towards licensing requirements each year. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum qualification for teacher positions, with exceptions for CTE).
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
- Enrollment in a Teacher's Education Program if hired without one.
- Demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements annually if not fully licensed.
Responsibilities
- Teach Grade 7 Mathematics.
- Actively pursue towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements if not already licensed.
- Enroll in a program to continue employment if hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program.
