About The Position
Mathematics Teacher We’re seeking a dynamic and student-centered Mathematics Teacher to inspire students to develop strong problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and a lifelong appreciation for learning at Lebanon School District. In this role, you’ll guide students through engaging mathematical experiences that build a strong academic foundation while fostering critical thinking, communication, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Appropriate Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification and qualifications prescribed by law, including Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requirements
Responsibilities
- Creating engaging lessons that bring mathematical concepts to life through meaningful applications
- Building a safe, productive learning environment where students feel confident to take risks and grow academically
- Balancing direct instruction, collaborative learning, and individualized support to meet diverse student needs
- Using data and assessment results to drive instructional decisions and improve student achievement
- Connecting mathematics instruction to college, career, and everyday life experiences
- Design and deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with district curriculum and state standards
- Build a strong mathematical foundation that prepares students for future academic and career success
- Differentiate instruction to support learners at all levels, including advanced placement and inclusive classroom settings
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to meet the unique needs of students
- Use data-driven insights to strengthen student achievement and instructional effectiveness
- Evaluate student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and families
- Collaborate with colleagues to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional student growth
- Participate in curriculum development, professional learning, and school improvement initiatives
