About The Position
The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. This position is for a Grade 7-8 English Language Arts Teacher at Moanalua Middle School. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, new employees have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a Program to continue employment. Employees must demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements annually and ensure their chosen program aligns with their teaching line. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum qualification for teacher positions, except designated CTE).
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
- Enrollment in a Teacher's Education Program if hired without one.
- Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements annually.
