About The Position

Amgen is seeking a graduate intern for its R&D Translational Immunology team for Summer 2027. The intern will develop and implement cell-based in vitro hematopoietic models to investigate immunological safety risks of drug candidates in Amgen’s Oncology pipeline. The work includes developing mechanism-based in vitro New Approach Methodologies to evaluate hematotoxicities, contributing to assay design through literature-based evaluations, and maintaining, differentiating, and analyzing primary immune cell types in 2D and 3D cultures. The intern will apply immunological techniques to assess toxicities and present research findings to the broader Translational Safety and Risk Sciences team.
