The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Wildlife Diversity Conservation Section (WDC) is seeking an organized, motivated individual to serve as the Section 6 and State Wildlife Grants Administrator. Traditional Section 6 and Florida’s State Wildlife Grants Program are federally funded matching grants program. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for coordinating with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) on new and existing awards. They will also serve as the point person for project personnel. This position requires grant/contract writing, project management, invoice processing, report creation and submission, budget tracking and strong interpersonal skills. The incumbent will perform various administrative tasks associated with agency and grant operations and administration. Duties include reviewing contracts/agreements, data management, hosting remote meetings and other routine administrative reports. The incumbent will perform similar or other tasks as assigned, as well as complete recommended training to enhance and maintain professional development and skills. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and self-motivated to complete quality work on time and will demonstrate strong leadership and communication abilities together with strong abilities to develop and carry out projects with minimal supervision and to also work as an effective team member when assisting on other projects.
