About The Position

This is a professional position responsible for evaluating licensees to ensure regulatory requirements are met and maintained for licensing as a treatment center. The employee is expected to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to prepare, provide, and deliver quality work products representative of the Department’s commitment to quality, efficient services and patient safety. The employee will demonstrate attention to detail and quality case review and document preparation, evidenced by accuracy, correct grammar and format, appropriate content, proper approvals and timeliness.

Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of computer data bases; knowledge and use of the compliance management system and licensing system used by the Agency; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; communicating effectively with others in writing; talking-to others to effectively convey information; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information; observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources; providing information to supervisors, fellow workers, and subordinates.
  • Three years of professional experience reviewing documents, applying applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures through regulatory operational activities.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, satisfactorily complete a background investigation, fingerprinting, and participation in direct deposit are requirements for employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reviews of higher-level variance and inspection requests from treatment centers to ensure the documentation provided is in compliance with departmental rules and statutory standards.
  • Identify any missing or incorrect documentation to management as needed.
  • Carefully review detailed supporting documentation, and identify any errors or omissions, as needed. Send letters regarding variance requests as needed. Monitor cases which have not received a response to Request for Additional Information (RAI) within specified timeframes.
  • Provide training for new employees and staff as needed. Assist with the creation of training materials, provide input on any applicable desk guides, and scheduling of annual refresher trainings.
  • Track all incoming variance and inspection requests in the electronic tracking system. This includes tracking when all documentation is sent or received and response dates.
  • Responsible for the organization of all requests in the file folder system.
  • Complete assignments in support of management and staff as directed.
  • Assist with producing data for ad-hoc requests and/or routine reports for the Office’s internal and external customers.
  • Assist with developing guidelines and tools necessary to carry out the review process for licensure and ensure a high level of program execution.
