About The Position

This is a highly responsible position reporting to the Management Review Specialist-SES and Deputy Secretary for Health Quality Assurance. The incumbent performs a variety of duties, including: performing human resource functions, administrative activities, research and data gathering, preparing reports, and interpreting departmental policy. This position will be hired at $20.00 hourly and is non-negotiable. OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment, and terminations at the pleasure of the agency head or designee. OPS employees do not serve probationary periods or become permanent in their positions because they serve at the pleasure of the agency head.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in human resources, administrative work, customer service, data entry, or program research is required.
  • Knowledge of State Personnel System rules and Florida statutes related to personnel administration.
  • Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
  • Ability to be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to direction.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to effectively read and interpret information
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to travel with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain organizational charts for the Division
  • Review and update position descriptions
  • Email monthly New Employee Surveys
  • Post Division advertisements on external job boards
  • Participate in Career Fairs, as needed
  • Pull reports from PeopleFirst
  • Research and recommend upcoming job fair opportunities statewide
  • Distribute Job Fair candidate information to respective managers and track success
  • Assist with special projects assigned to the HQA Deputy Secretary's Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned
