About The Position

This is a high-level position that reports directly to the County Health Department Assistant Administrator with input from the Marion County Emergency Manager and the CEO of the United Way of Marion County. The position serves as the liaison for the Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) to the Marion County Long Term Recovery Group (MCLTRG) and is the lead staff member responsible for long term planning, managing long term recovery groups, coordinating case management and ensuring collaboration among the nonprofit sector, local government and the private sector. The position will coordinate with the ESF-15 staff members during times of Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activation. In addition, this position coordinates resource alignment for DOH-Marion clients in need of resources outside the agency during non-disaster response time periods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the MCLTRG actions with establishing, maintaining and updating the comprehensive long term recovery plan master plan; this includes the coordination and management of all recovery groups and committees.
  • Serves as a coordinator for Marion County Unite Us efforts. Establish a resource guide and plan to help Marion-DOH clients in need of resource referral offered outside on the agency, including monitoring outcomes.
  • Intake and assessment of client’s needs, case management including monitoring and follow up on resource referrals.
  • Work with United Way of Marion County to research grants available to assist with community needs.
  • Maintain all records and documents in compliance with federal and state regulations, including grants.
  • Other duties as assigned to the position.
