About The Position

Rhoads Industries is seeking a Government & Customer Property Manager to join their dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. This role is responsible for managing government-owned property and Customer Furnished Material (CFM) in compliance with contract requirements and federal regulations. The position ensures property is properly received, tracked, stored, assigned, maintained, inventoried, and disposed of throughout its lifecycle. The role supports contract compliance, maintains accurate records, coordinates audits and inventories, and collaborates with internal teams, subcontractors, customers, and government representatives to safeguard company and customer assets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in government property management, asset management, inventory control, logistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of FAR Part 45, DFARS, and government property requirements.
  • Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret contract requirements and maintain compliance.
  • Proficient with asset management systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
  • Effective communication skills, managerial skills, and the ability to work with customers, government representatives, auditors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • NPMA certifications (CPPS, CPPA, or CPPM) are a plus.
  • Experience managing Customer Furnished Material (CFM) or Government Furnished Material (GFM) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage government-owned property and CFM in accordance with contract requirements, FAR Part 45, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate property records, including receipt, identification, location, use, maintenance, inventory, transfer, and disposition.
  • Ensure all property and CFM are properly identified, labeled, stored, safeguarded, and tracked.
  • Conduct physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare required reports and documentation for customers, government agencies, and audits.
  • Coordinate property activities with procurement, warehouse, project teams, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Review contract requirements to ensure compliance with government property and CFM provisions.
  • Support internal, customer, and government audits, including corrective actions.
  • Investigate and report lost, damaged, or missing property.
  • Oversee the return, transfer, or disposal of excess government property and CFM.
  • Develop and maintain property management procedures and provide training to employees.
  • Coordinate with procurement, project managers, subcontractors, warehousing, and logistics to ensure compliant handling.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
