About The Position

This position supports the Government Property Management System by ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 45, DFARS 252, DCMA guidance, and contractual requirements throughout the property lifecycle. Working closely with Contracts, Program Management, Procurement, Logistics, and government customers, the Government Property Administrator maintains accurate property records, supports audits and inventories, coordinates property transactions, and assists with contract closeout activities. This role serves as a key resource for government property matters while supporting the company's commitment to protecting government and company assets.

Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in government property administration, asset management, logistics, supply chain, or a related government contracting environment.
  • Working knowledge of FAR Part 45, DFARS 252, DCMA Government Property Management requirements, and government property lifecycle processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to leverage available resources to accomplish objectives.
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience with Costpoint preferred.
  • Experience with PIEE GFP Module or other government reporting systems preferred.
  • NPMA certification (CPPA, CPPM, or CPPS) is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Administer government-furnished property (GFP) and contractor-acquired property (CAP) throughout the property lifecycle, including acquisition, receipt, identification, utilization, maintenance, inventory, transfer, and disposition.
  • Track the movement of property by coordinating and documenting applicable transactions to ensure accurate ownership, accountability, and location records in accordance with government regulations, customer contracts, and company policies.
  • Review contracts and modifications to identify government property requirements and ensure compliance with applicable FAR, DFARS, and customer-specific clauses.
  • Maintain accurate property records and supporting documentation within the Government Property Management System.
  • Prepare and submit required government property reports and documentation in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Support contract closeout activities, including inventory reconciliation and disposition of government property in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.
  • Conduct and support physical inventories, audits, and self-assessments to verify property records, equipment locations, and maintenance requirements.
  • Investigate and document lost, damaged, or destroyed government property in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and company procedures.
  • Assist with internal compliance reviews and contractor self-assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Support DCMA property reviews, customer audits, and other government inspections by providing documentation and responding to property-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Contracts, Procurement, Logistics, Program Management, and other functional organizations to ensure proper accountability and stewardship of government property.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding government property procedures and assist with training on Government Property Control System requirements and applicable FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance property management processes and internal controls.
  • Travel to Tyonek sites as required (up to 25%).
  • Maintain flexibility to accept work assignments in different functional areas as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
