The Government Contract Specialist is responsible for preparing, negotiating, securing and managing government contracts in compliance with strict legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires deep knowledge of federal and state procurement regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) as well as export control regulations, including the U.S. Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security’s (BIS) Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The Specialist will lead contract processes from proposal development through closeout, ensuring full compliance, operational efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives.
