About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Government & Capital Property Manager (K-Level) for our Compliance & Process Optimization team within our Supply Chain organization. This position manages employees who develop, coordinate, and implement property management and control activities. It involves developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The role requires developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The manager will also develop, coach, mentor, and motivate employees, communicate directly with internal and external auditors, and work collaboratively with Materials Management/Property Management site Senior Leaders. Additionally, the role involves acquiring resources, providing technical management of teams, leading process improvements, and monitoring metrics and self-assessment results to ensure continuous compliance. The position also requires working with Government property administrators to address issues and escalate when necessary. This position allows telecommuting, but the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (Berkeley, MO, Ridley Park, PA, or Tukwila, WA).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience applying audit standards, procedures, and techniques
  • 5+ years of experience managing Government or Capital Property
  • 5+ years of experience and/or training on FAR and DFARS compliance
  • 3+ years of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
  • 3+ years of experience leading project teams to meet project objectives and deliverables
  • 3+ years of experience creating project schedules which identify time frames for key project milestones
  • 3+ years of experience using LEAN manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • 3+ years of experience working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Department of Defense (DOD) contracts
  • 3+ years of experience engaging with global customers, suppliers, and partners
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Government (i.e. DCMA, DCAA, NASA, etc.) property administrators to address issues timely and escalate when required to ensure results
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Develops, coaches, mentoring and motivating employees
