About The Position

The Government Analyst II is a highly responsible and professional position located within The Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation. This position is responsible for using professional judgement to provide information, guidance, direction, and assistance with health care licensure processes for highly complex applications. Employee independently performs the most complex assignments under limited supervision. The work requires applying a logical or scientific understanding of business practices and procedures in order to analyze and resolve problems of a specialized or professional nature related to health care regulation. This is work conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing office systems and procedures, conducting work simplifications and measurement studies, providing technical assistance and developing operations and procedures to assist organizations in operating more efficiently and effectively. Reviews and analyzes policies, programs, services, forms and reports, and confers with management and users for decision making and to identify problems and improvements. Works independently with constituents to provide regulatory services and updates via phone, electronic communication, and in-person. Manages, delegates and responds to profession specific shared email inbox. Reviews documents and/or contacts appropriate parties to ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and court orders. Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. The incumbent manages and maintains public facing information relating to health care licensure pathways and engages in public outreach. Other job-related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.
  • Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection.
  • Ability to provide consultative assistance to others.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be physically present in the office to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.
