About The Position

The Governance Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support and coordination for the First Nation School Board’s (FNSB) governance and senior leadership. Working under the Director of Policy and Communications, the position supports the Community Committee Advisor, and the broader leadership team with governance planning, meeting coordination, documentation, records management, communications, and day-to-day administrative requirements. The role is responsible for ensuring Community Committees and FNSB leadership are well prepared and supported through timely meeting packages, minutes, correspondence, logistics, and follow-up. The Governance Administrator also contributes to the smooth operation of the FNSB office by providing general administrative support, and serving as a backup first point of contact for staff and visitors. The position requires strong organization, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across FNSB schools, communities, leadership, and departments, while ensuring governance practices reflect FNSB values and respect the histories, cultures, customs, and priorities of local First Nations communities.
