About The Position

Convertibles is a CRO and Shopify development agency for 8 and 9 figure D2C brands. We have brought Google and YouTube ads in-house, managed by our co-founder Clay. Clay has extensive experience in Google Ads for ecommerce since 2013, having built and exited his own brand on Google Ads and CRO, and subsequently managed Google and YouTube for brands spending $50k to $500k+ per month on Google alone. The current ads portfolio includes approximately seven brands across the US, UK, EU, and Australia, and is experiencing growth. This role is structured as an apprenticeship with a real job attached. You will work directly with Clay, learning his account management methods. Within 90 days, you will be responsible for managing the weekly cycle for your own accounts. The weekly cycle involves pulling data from Google Ads and client attribution tools (Triple Whale, Converge, or Northbeam) on Mondays, updating reporting workbooks, writing client updates, and creating an action list detailing specific campaign changes and their rationale. Throughout the week, you will implement these changes, monitor pacing, check feeds and Merchant Center, and build new campaigns (Search, Shopping, PMax, YouTube/Demand Gen). Client calls will initially involve observation, progressing to leading them. Our approach emphasizes YouTube and Demand Gen as primary channels, not secondary. We adapt successful Meta ad creatives for YouTube, scaling them effectively. Accounts have seen their YouTube media mix increase from 6-12% to 13-22%, maintaining strong returns for over a year. Decisions are driven by attribution tool data rather than solely platform numbers. This role offers an opportunity to learn a different analytical perspective beyond just Google Ads platform metrics, focusing on quantifiable improvements like "NC-CPA went from £38 to £30 on the same spend" rather than vague statements like "Performance improved." AI is integrated into the workflow for reporting workbooks, data pulls, and initial drafts using Claude. While developer expertise is not required, comfort with this AI-assisted approach is necessary. A dedicated development, CRO, QA, and design team supports the ads function, handling landing page or feed issues when they arise.
