Google & YouTube Ads Specialist - Ecommerce (Remote, Full-time) - Americas

CONVERTIBLES.DEVNew York, NY
$4,000 - $6,000Remote

About The Position

Convertibles is a CRO and Shopify development agency for 8 and 9 figure D2C brands. We have recently brought Google and YouTube ads in-house, managed by our co-founder Clay. Clay has extensive experience in Google Ads for ecommerce since 2013, having built and exited his own brand on Google Ads and CRO, and subsequently managed Google and YouTube for brands with monthly spends ranging from $50k to $500k+. The current ads portfolio includes approximately seven brands across the US, UK, EU, and Australia, and is experiencing growth. This role is structured as an apprenticeship with a full-time job attached. You will work directly with Clay, learning his account management methods, and within 90 days, you will be independently managing the weekly cycle for your own accounts. The weekly cycle involves: - Monday: Analyzing last week's performance data from the Google Ads platform and the client's attribution tool (Triple Whale, Converge, or Northbeam), updating the reporting workbook, writing client updates, and producing a list of specific, justified actions. - Throughout the week: Implementing changes, monitoring pacing, checking feeds and Merchant Center, and building new campaigns (Search, Shopping, PMax, YouTube / Demand Gen). - Client calls: Initially observing, then leading them. Our approach emphasizes YouTube and Demand Gen as primary channels, not secondary. We adapt successful Meta ad creatives for YouTube and scale them. Accounts have seen YouTube's contribution to the media mix increase from 6-12% to 13-22%, maintaining strong returns for over a year. Performance is evaluated using attribution-tool data, not solely platform numbers. This role offers a different perspective on campaign assessment. Data-driven decisions are paramount. Vague statements like "Performance improved" are replaced with specific metrics, e.g., "NC-CPA decreased from £38 to £30 at the same spend." AI tools like Claude are integrated into the workflow for tasks such as building reporting workbooks, data pulls, and drafting initial reports. While developer skills are not required, comfort with this AI-assisted workflow is essential. A dedicated development, CRO, QA, and design team supports the ads function, ensuring that any necessary fixes to landing pages or feeds are promptly addressed.
