About The Position

The Manager in Training (MiT) program at Easterseals-Goodwill (ESGW) is a three-month accelerated program designed to equip individuals with the tools, experience, and confidence to become successful store managers. The program combines in-depth training with real-world management experience in a dynamic retail environment. Participants will gain knowledge of store operations and develop leadership skills to motivate teams and drive performance. The program includes two months of training at a designated Salt Lake City market store, focusing on core retail management skills such as staffing, scheduling, customer service, and sales strategies. This is followed by one month of hands-on experience as a manager across multiple store locations. Specialized training covers inventory processing and management, merchandising, administration (scheduling, reporting, operational planning), and talent management (hiring, training, team motivation). Experienced store managers will provide mentorship, guiding participants in analyzing business performance, implementing improvement strategies, and creating a positive work environment.
