About The Position

The Food Collective Centre (FCC) is a student-run service focused on strengthening food systems within McMaster University and the surrounding community. It provides support resources for students, alumni, staff, and community partners. The Good Food Coordinator will collaborate with the volunteer team, Assistant Director, Director, and Grace Lutheran Church to manage the on-campus Good Food Box program and the Food Collective Centre located in Bridges Café. Key responsibilities include liaising with suppliers, processing orders through the MSU Accounting Office, handling administrative duties, and coordinating the delivery of Good Food Boxes to students. Additionally, the Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the Food Collective Centre space and promote its services to McMaster students to address student poverty and hunger.

  • Food Handlers Certificate required (provided).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Good Food Box program on campus.
  • Coordinate the Food Collective Centre in Bridges Café.
  • Contact suppliers for the Good Food Box program.
  • Work with the MSU Accounting Office to accept orders.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the Good Food Box program.
  • Facilitate the delivery of Good Food Boxes to students.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Food Collective Centre Space.
  • Educate McMaster students about the services offered by the Food Collective Centre.
  • Maintain confidentiality of individuals accessing FCC services.
  • Maintain an appropriate and positive image of the MSU.
