DFW A - 1st Shift Gondola
About The Position
The Gondola Technician is responsible for gondola and waste removal duties, minor maintenance, and miscellaneous tasks to help keep buildings and facilities healthy, safe, and sanitary. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, or willingness to learn them, is essential. The role cares for the main building, facilities, and equipment, supporting the health, safety, and security of the public. The position reports to the Custodial Supervisor. Diverse Facility Solutions, Inc. is a 100% minority-owned Chicago corporation specializing in janitorial and facility maintenance services. The position is at Dallas Fort Worth Airport in Dallas, Texas, and is full-time on the first shift. The work is physically demanding and includes routine walking, standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects. Requirements
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques or willingness to learn them.
- Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments.
- Ability to operate and use tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively independently or with a team.
- Basic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products, and their use.
- Ability to routinely walk, stand, bend, and lift heavy objects.
Responsibilities
- Collect trash, replace garbage liners, and clean garbage receptacles as needed.
- Work between multiple locations.
- Dust and clean fixtures, walls, doors, and other vertical or horizontal surfaces as required.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and mop tile and concrete floors as required.
- Perform or report minor maintenance repairs and damages.
- Keep janitor closets clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintain janitorial and gondola equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
- Properly label, dilute, and use chemicals.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
