About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Head Golf Professional, the Golf Shop Sales Associate is responsible for collecting appropriate fees, taking reservations, and assisting in merchandise sales. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to patrons on the phone and in person, answering questions, and promoting Park District services and facilities. The associate will monitor the safety of golf patrons, assist in the general maintenance and cleanliness of the clubhouse, and help with the presentation and sale of merchandise. Additionally, the position requires assisting related staff with special duties assigned by the Head Golf Professional and demonstrating support for District customer service standards. Regular onsite attendance is an essential function, and the role may involve modified/flexible work schedules during high volume periods.

Requirements

Working knowledge of the operations of golf courses and facilities.
Ability to display professionalism with patrons.
Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns.
Working knowledge of basic computer software.
Ability to learn new software.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 30 lbs on a daily basis.
Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities
