About The Position

This is a seasonal position requiring 30-40 hours per week availability. The Golf Shop Retail Associate will maintain a visible presence in the Golf Shop and on the sales floor, promoting goodwill and exceptional hospitality to members and guests. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean, refreshed, uncluttered, and organized Golf Shop and storage room, assisting with all aspects of the special-order program including timely communication with customers, and assisting with monthly inventory. The associate will also update and maintain vendor contact information, assist with the receipt and tagging of incoming merchandise, and change mannequins and displays. A crucial part of the role involves learning and understanding the rules of the club to effectively answer the telephone for tee time reservations, lesson bookings, and tournament signups. Professional dress and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with staff grooming standards are required. Other duties will be provided as necessary. Preferred qualifications include retail experience and basic golf knowledge. Mandatory requirements include a friendly and positive personality focused on building relationships with members and staff, mandatory computer expertise (proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel), and excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

Mandatory computer expertise; proficient in Microsoft Word/Publisher/PowerPoint/Excel
Possess excellent communications skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time

Nice To Haves

Retail experience preferred
Basic golf knowledge is preferred

Responsibilities
