About The Position

Seabreeze Management Company is seeking a Part-Time Golf Course Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining the pristine condition of the golf course, involving the maintenance and repair of course equipment and irrigation systems, as well as daily care and upkeep of playing surfaces. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and fieldwork skills to uphold the high standards of the course.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in golf course maintenance.
Strong skills in equipment operation and turf care.
Technical proficiency in the maintenance and repair of machinery and irrigation systems.
Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum of one-year related job experience.
Strong written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Additional education in turf management, horticulture, or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

Service and repair golf course machinery and equipment, including mowers, tractors, and irrigation systems.
Ensure all tools and equipment are in optimal working condition.
Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of turf.
Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation issues promptly.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and pest control to keep greens, tees, fairways, and roughs in top condition.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues affecting course quality and playability.
Execute seasonal maintenance tasks including overseeding, topdressing, and snow removal as required.
Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and other staff to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure the course meets the highest standards.
