About The Position

The Golf Course Maintenance Mechanic ensures the proper maintenance and repair of golf and grounds maintenance equipment. The role involves working on gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, supporting preventive maintenance, maintaining repair records, and keeping equipment ready for use. The mechanic may also set up and modify new equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
• Familiarity with and adherence to proper recycling and disposal of potentially hazardous shop fluids and compounds.
• Proficiency with welding and fabrication equipment.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Degree or certificate from a college or vocational school in a mechanical field of study.
• A minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience repairing small engines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of various gasoline- and diesel-powered golf equipment.
• Contribute to implementation of a preventive maintenance program.
• Inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical defects or failures in golf and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service and repair records for each piece of machinery.
• Keep maintenance equipment fueled, oiled, and inspected to ensure it is ready for use.
• Set up and modify new equipment as needed.
