About The Position

The Equipment Operator/Golf Course Maintenance role performs daily golf course setup and maintenance, including walking to mow greens, raking bunkers, changing cups, providing tee service, and repairing divots. The role operates Toro mowers and other equipment to maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and collars at different heights. It also involves refueling and cleaning equipment each day and promptly reporting equipment problems or failures to the Equipment Manager. The employee performs other duties as directed by the supervisor. The position is hourly and reports to the Golf Course Superintendent.

Requirements

Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience; training will be provided.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in the heat for extended periods.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, and members.
Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform daily golf course setup.
Walk-mow greens, rake bunkers, change cups, provide tee service, and repair divots.
Operate Toro mowers to maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and collars at different heights.
Operate equipment including handheld power tools, utility carts, mowers, tractors, edgers, weed-eaters, power trimmers, and chainsaws.
Refill fuel and clean equipment daily.
Immediately report equipment problems or failures to the Equipment Manager.
Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
