About The Position

The Club features an impeccably maintained 18-hole championship golf course, a beautiful 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, Har-Tru tennis courts, pickleball courts, indoor squash courts, and a resort-style swimming pool. As a member of our Golf Course Maintenance team, you will play an important role in maintaining the outstanding course conditions for which Raritan Valley is known. Requirements

  • Two years of golf course maintenance experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Good organizational and verbal skills.
  • Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
  • Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 80 lbs., up to 40 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly.
  • Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 4 hours without sitting.
  • Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps all equipment in good, clean working condition.
  • Maintains a clean golf course and maintenance complex.
  • Reports all problems regarding equipment to the Mechanic and or Assistant Superintendent.
  • Completes duties as directed by supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and Guests at all times.
  • Obeys all safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
