POSITION SUMMARY Groundskeepers are responsible for the daily maintenance of Stratton’s 27 hole Golf Course and for providing the best possible playing conditions for our guests. This is a seasonal position, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, starting wage for this role is $20.00/hour.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- Ability to operate machinery used for grounds maintenance
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, extreme heat, cold, insects, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
- Basic understanding of golf
Nice To Haves
- Previous grounds maintenance experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Routine cleanup of sticks, leaves and debris
- Assisting with shop cleanliness, including lunch area, locker room, bathroom, and equipment bays
- Keeping equipment clean including steam cleaning and hand washing
- Moving bags of fertilizer up to 50lbs
- Daily pre-operation check of assigned equipment, safe use, and proper storage of equipment
- Hand watering turf using pressures up to 120psi
- Daily placement and removal of greens tarps, raking and shoveling
- Sanitation of collection area at wash station
- Reporting equipment issues to the mechanic
- Operating walk behind, and riding mowers
- Larger equipment operation
- Additional duties as assigned
