About The Position

Responsible for the care and maintenance throughout the golf course and does semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work. Some knowledge of the game of golf.

Responsibilities

  • Operates motorized mowing equipment in trimming certain areas on the golf course
  • Grades and prepares base for turf
  • Lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
  • Changes pins and tee markers
  • Maintains ball washers, sand traps and water hazards
  • Installs forms and lays walks, using gravel and asphalt mixes
  • Rakes and maintains sand traps
  • Assists in planting turf
  • Operates dump utility vehicles and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris
  • Trims and prunes trees and shrubbery and flowers
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Provide guests with directions or other venue information
  • Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, professional and friendly manner
  • Respond to obstacles; finds new ways to reach desired end results
  • In absence of guidance, acts and takes charge to respond to guest or internal customer needs
  • Responds to change by quickly applying talent and skills in a positive way to succeed

  • Acts to protect and preserve property of IMGR&C. All areas, equipment and furnishings are kept exceptionally neat, clean and in good repair
