About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining all golf course areas and the maintenance facility. The role involves operating various hand-held and self-propelled equipment, performing regular inspections, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The Golf Course Maintenance team operates 7 days a week, requiring availability for weekends and overtime.

Requirements

• Operate equipment with precision and care.
• Must be able to bend, stretch and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Open to receiving feedback regarding performance.
• Punctuality is a must.
• Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
• Use personal protective equipment as trained and required.
• Wear safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots when required, sunscreen, gloves, and seatbelts when required.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Report safety or hazard concerns to management.
• Reports any on the job injury to management immediately.
• Take personal responsibility for safety every day.
• Report equipment issues to Equipment Manager immediately.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience on a golf course or construction site (including use of Heavy Equipment).
• Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all golf course areas and maintenance facility.
• Operates hand-held equipment such as weed eaters, backpack and push blowers, edgers, dew whips, picks, and pitchforks.
• Operates self-propelled walking mowers, fly-mowers, core pushers, and rakes/shovels.
• Operates a utility cart safely.
• Maintains sprinkler heads and valve boxes.
• Maintains bunkers.
• Maintains cart paths (edge and blow).
• Walk mows Greens and Tees.
• Performs daily cleanup of equipment and facility.
• Blows Fairways and Rough.
• Conducts regular inspections of equipment and reports issues to the Equipment Manager.
• Spreads pine and hardwood mulch.
• Performs other duties as required by supervision.
