About The Position

The Golf Cart Attendant helps provide and maintain golf carts for the operation so members and guests can enjoy their experience. The role relies on attention to detail, preparation, and customer service. Duties include preparing carts before play and for group outings, keeping cart return areas clear, cleaning and detailing carts, maintaining the workspace, and accounting for and charging the fleet after play. The attendant must remain aware of their surroundings in a golf environment and follow proper golf etiquette.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to see and react to surroundings in a golf environment, including errant golf balls.
Ability to understand and follow proper golf etiquette.
Ability to meet the described physical demands, including regularly lifting or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Stage and detail golf carts each morning before play.
Fold towels and refill sand bottles for clean carts.
Prepare golf carts in the staging area for corporate and group outings.
Keep the golf cart return area, tunnel, and member bag drop clear of traffic backups.
Remove trash from carts and wash sand, dirt, and grass from cart floorboards and exteriors.
Detail golf carts regularly as requested.
Return personal belongings left by members, guests, visitors, business partners, and fellow employees to the Golf Shop.
Identify and retrieve abandoned carts.
Keep the workspace clean each evening by taking out trash and dirty towel bins, sweeping cart return areas, cleaning debris from the wash ramp, and clearing blocked drains.
Account for all fleet carts, park them, and charge them each evening after play; report any missing carts.
Remain aware of surroundings, react to hazards including errant golf balls, and follow proper golf etiquette.
