About The Position

The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for the cleaning, fueling, and staging of golf carts to support the operations of the Golf Shop at River Heights and Buena Vista Golf Courses. This seasonal, non-exempt position reports to the Golf Clubhouse Operations Manager and assists in other areas as required. The role involves ensuring the golf cart fleet is ready for use, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and patrons.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Valid Illinois driver's license.
• Knowledge of the game of golf.
• Well organized.
• Ability to work independently as well as with others.

Responsibilities

• Clean, fuel, and stage golf carts on a routine and as-needed basis to support golf clubhouse operations.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure the cleanliness of the golf cart fleet.
• Log and report any necessary repairs to the Golf Clubhouse Operations Manager or Golf Maintenance Superintendent.
• Assist in staging carts for tournaments, outings, and special events.
• Contribute to a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
• Assist in outing and event preparations such as placing hole signage, tents, and proximity markers on the golf course.
• Assist clubhouse staff with janitorial duties when requested.
• Periodically assist with tee box clean up, including picking up tees and repairing divots in the turf.
