About The Position

Syngenta is seeking a Golden Harvest Sales Representative for East Central South Dakota, covering Beadle, Hand, and Spink Counties. The role supports Syngenta’s mission of safely feeding the world and caring for the planet by providing customers access to a broad portfolio of agricultural seed hybrids and solutions. The representative develops and manages a team of professional resellers and works with customers and channel partners to grow territory sales.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, or a degree in a non-agriculture discipline with a significant farming industry background or commensurate experience.
At least 2 years of sales or sales leadership experience.
Ability to work independently on a virtual team.
Strong customer focus and demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.
Must live in the territory.

Agricultural sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customers access to the industry’s broadest and most diverse portfolio of hybrids.
Recruit, develop, and manage a team of professional resellers.
Use consultative selling, recognized expertise, and customer trust to support sales.
Deliver plans and offers to targeted customers through selected channel partners.
Create demand at the customer level by building product knowledge and interest in Syngenta solutions.
Coach Seed Advisors on product placement to improve customer satisfaction.
Manage the operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within district guidelines.
Develop territory-level business plans and Seed Advisor business plans that identify opportunities, must-wins, and tactics to grow territory sales.
