GNC Systems Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory•Cambridge, MA

About The Position

Draper’s Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) System Architecture group seeks a motivated student intern to support systems engineering methodologies for multi-domain national-security programs. This three-month role offers experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, requirements management, technical planning and direction, and GN&C architecture development. Hours and program duration may be adjusted based on the student’s school schedule and availability. The intern will work with systems engineers to build SysML-based models using MagicDraw, develop functional and physical GN&C architectures, support requirements traceability, improve systems engineering processes, and assist with program technical reviews. The role includes implementing and testing engineering solutions, analyzing results, preparing documentation and test reports, and presenting progress and technical artifacts to the team. Applicants selected may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
