GNC Systems Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

Draper•Cambridge, MA
•$20 - $45

About The Position

Draper is seeking a motivated undergraduate or graduate student for a 3-month internship with its Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) System Architecture group in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The intern will work with a team applying and optimizing systems engineering methodologies for multi-domain national-security programs, gaining experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, requirements management, technical planning and direction, and GN&C architecture development. The intern will work closely with systems engineers to build SysML-based models using MagicDraw and develop capabilities within the tool. The role also supports the development of functional and physical GN&C architectures, requirements traceability, process improvement, program technical reviews, and communication of progress and technical artifacts. The student will document discoveries, best practices, and lessons learned. Hours and program duration may be flexible according to the student’s school schedule and availability.
