GNC/MS&A Engineer - Level 2 (Secret) - Chandler (AHT)

Northrop GrummanChandler, AZ
$79,300 - $118,900Onsite

About The Position

Northrop Grumman is recruiting engineers with backgrounds in Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) Engineering and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) to support their team in Chandler, AZ. This position is 100% on-site due to the nature of the work. The role involves designing, developing, implementing, verifying, and testing high-quality software and simulation toolchains, working on a 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulation to design and test missile flight code, and using 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance. Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code is required. Candidates with experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) are encouraged to apply and may further develop, implement, and validate high-fidelity physical and statistical models for flight vehicles, interceptors, or spacecraft; design, maintain, and enhance simulation environments for complex missile and space system performance evaluation; conduct trade studies and scenario-based analysis to support engineering design and requirements verification; analyze large datasets from simulation outputs, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings clearly; support Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) of simulation models; and utilize modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, STK, C++, Python, or similar. Collaboration with Systems Engineering, GNC, and Test teams is expected to ensure alignment of simulation deliverables with broader program objectives.
