We are recruiting for engineers with a background in Embedded Software Engineering to support our team in Chandler, AZ. Due to the nature of this work, this position will be 100% on-site. In these roles, you will be developing systems for a variety of advanced missile defense spacecraft and interceptors using current technologies and others yet to come! We are seeking team members who have a thirst for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a relentless drive to solve complex problems. Creativity and innovation are imperative for this role, as our work at Northrop Grumman often involves pushing the boundaries of technology to develop the next generation of missile defense solutions; achieving what seems impossible… until it’s not.
Requirements
- Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3)
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4)
- Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Responsibilities
- Object Oriented (OO) Software development experience in C/C++ in a Linux environment
- Embedded real-time software development, debug and test
- Real time operating systems (RTOS) environments including VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or other equivalent RTOS
- Full software development lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
