About The Position

The Drug/GM Manager oversees the daily operations of the Drug and General Merchandise departments to ensure strong customer service, effective merchandising, inventory accuracy, and financial performance. This role is responsible for leading associates, executing promotions, controlling shrink, and maintaining company standards for presentation, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or grocery experience required
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and merchandising skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Drug/GM department operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and merchandising
  • Ensure shelves and displays are full, well‑organized, and visually appealing
  • Execute seasonal changes, planograms, and promotional displays accurately and on time
  • Lead, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate Drug/GM associates
  • Monitor sales, labor, inventory levels, and shrink to meet department goals
  • Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and product integrity
  • Maintain strong in‑stock conditions and proper backroom organization
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and product inquiries professionally
  • Enforce safety procedures and proper handling of merchandise
  • Partner with store leadership to support store‑wide operational and financial objectives
  • Complete required inventory counts, ordering, and operational reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention practices
  • Maintain secure handling of high‑shrink and regulated items
  • Ensure department cleanliness and safe working conditions
  • Follow recall procedures and removal processes when required
