About The Position

The GM/HBC Coordinator oversees ordering, receiving, stocking, inventory, merchandising, and daily operations for the GM/HBC department. The role maintains department standards, records, and safety procedures; supervises and develops associates; and communicates with the store manager. The position requires on-site work during scheduled shifts and regular interaction with customers and individuals at various levels.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to have constant contact and interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Nice To Haves

• Grocery stocking experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Prepare GM/HBC orders and submit them on time.
• Check in GM/HBC orders according to company policy.
• Stock GM/HBC merchandise, rotate items, and remove out-of-date products from shelves.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and order and stock for the entire department.
• Assist with price changes and install new shelf tags.
• Meet GM/HBC payroll and labor requirements.
• Maintain a clean department, including all GM/HBC sections on the sales floor.
• Keep stockroom product and supplies neat, clean, and orderly.
• Keep shippers and 3-D end caps clean and orderly, with neat, readable pricing signs.
• Maintain department paperwork and accurate seasonal records.
• Work deletes and replacement items according to company policy.
• Work and verify GM/HBC plan-o-grams.
• Ensure electronic credits are handled immediately.
• Supervise, train, and develop qualified GM/HBC associates.
• Communicate daily with the store manager.
• Enforce and maintain safety policies and procedures.
• Attend department head meetings as needed.
