About The Position

C. Harper Chevrolet, Buick, & Cadillac is seeking an experienced GM Certified Master Technician to join its expanding team. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, completing work to dealership and manufacturer standards, and coordinating with Service Advisors and other staff to deliver quality customer service. The dealership describes its workplace as a modern, 28-bay shop with air conditioning, dedicated lifts and GM-specific tools, a well-stocked parts department, and opportunities for professional development and paid GM training.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician.
PA State Inspection and Emissions Licenses are required.
A valid driver's license is required.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues across various makes and models.
Commitment to precision and high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to participate in continuous learning and manufacturer-sponsored training.

Nice To Haves

Strong background or previous experience with GM vehicles.
ASE certification.
Familiarity with OEM standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

Complete all tasks specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
Perform thorough diagnostics using tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Coordinate with Service Advisors to inform customers about necessary repairs and provide accurate time estimates.
Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe, in compliance with safety regulations.
Stay current with automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing education and training.
Collaborate with other technicians and service staff to provide customer service.
