About The Position

Coughlin Circleville GM is seeking to hire an experienced full-time GM Automotive Technician/Mechanic along with motivation to continue their training and ASE certifications for a successful career. This position offers a competitive wage dependent on experience. Our flat-rate hour compensation program allows you to maximize your earning potential. Requirements

  • Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
  • Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
  • Completed manufacturer training.
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership.
  • Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI's, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Utilize timekeeping system.
