About The Position

Coughlin Circleville GM is seeking to hire an experienced full-time GM Automotive Technician/Mechanic along with motivation to continue their training and ASE certifications for a successful career. This position offers a competitive wage dependent on experience. Our flat-rate hour compensation program allows you to maximize your earning potential. The position requires regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership. Scheduled shifts are typically 5-days per week, rotating Saturdays, and may include holidays. Service departments are closed on Sundays and only open until 6 p.m. during the week. Duties are performed primarily in the automotive service area. Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. Frequently interacts with customers, service advisors and the service manager.

Requirements

  • Experienced full-time GM Automotive Technician/Mechanic.
  • Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
  • Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
  • Completed manufacturer training to perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI's, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities
