About The Position
Coughlin Chillicothe GM is hiring an experienced, full-time GM Automotive Technician/Mechanic who is motivated to continue training and earn ASE certifications. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicle damage, documenting repairs and materials, obtaining needed parts, and maintaining a safe, orderly work area while following applicable regulations. Requirements
- Automobile repair experience.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Meet and/or exceed manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
- Completed manufacturer training to perform warranty repairs and recalls on most vehicles, pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Certified or senior technician with the respective manufacturer preferred.
Responsibilities
- Determine and repair damaged parts.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Document all repairs performed.
- Document all materials used.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow company safety procedures.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including requirements for hazardous-waste disposal.
