Global Supplier Relations Assistant Manager

Estée Lauder Companies•, NY

About The Position

The Global Supplier Relations Assistant Manager supports the development, implementation, and execution of category sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to meet broad business objectives, working with support from the Category Lead. The role covers supplier and contract management, data analytics, RFQs, contract negotiations, and management of Joint Value Creation partners focused on mutual revenue growth, innovation access, and margin optimization. The position works across the Supply Chain and with internal departments—including R&D, Packaging, and Marketing—to improve cost, quality, and supply continuity; align sourcing commitments with business requirements; and develop both short- and long-term commodity strategies. It is responsible for global supplier relationships, cross-supplier negotiations, budget processes across brands, and business supply continuity plans. The role also delivers sustainability transformation efforts and collaborates with stakeholders on regulatory compliance and environmental best practices. For the rigid plastics packaging portfolio, the role supports pricing methodology development with converters, planning strategies that balance order quantities and costs, and regular MOQ reviews. It also focuses on new molding, decoration, and supply-process technologies; practical and transformational plastic-sustainability solutions; and network design and sourcing strategies that account for total cost, lead time, and the capabilities, competitiveness, and locations of suppliers.
