About The Position

eBay is seeking a Finance Analyst for its Global Shipping Finance team, based in Austin, Texas, or Salt Lake City, Utah. The analyst will support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the eBay Global Shipping team and establish a clear framework for evaluating business trends and the impact of initiatives. The role includes financial close and reporting, budget and forecast analysis, capital expenditure reporting, stakeholder relationship management, and ownership of Global P&L reporting and related master data.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in an FP&A role.
Experience with financial systems and tools such as SAP.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software.
Ability to work with deadlines.
Self-starter with a desire to learn and strong intellectual curiosity.
Dedicated to working at least 3 days per week in the Austin, Texas, or Salt Lake City, Utah office.

Responsibilities

Manage the monthly financial close, journal entries, and accurate expense reporting while ensuring financial compliance.
Support financial planning and reporting, including monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic long-term planning.
Apply accounting policies and support accurate financial reporting and forecasting for capital expenditures.
Prepare monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions for each business.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential risks and opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Use systems and tools to gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data for management reporting.
Own Global P&L reporting, mapping, and maintenance of underlying master data.
