About The Position

eBay is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for its Global Shipping team. Based in Austin, Texas, or Salt Lake City, Utah, the analyst will help establish a clear framework for evaluating business trends and the impact of initiatives. The role involves financial close and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, capital expenditure reporting, analysis of financial results, stakeholder relationship management, and ownership of Global P&L reporting and related master data.

Requirements

Work at least 3 days per week in the Austin, Texas, or Salt Lake City, Utah office.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in an FP&A role.
Experience with financial systems and tools such as SAP.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Self-starter with a desire to learn and strong intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

Manage the monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate expense reporting, and financial compliance.
Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic long-term financial planning and reporting.
Apply accounting policies and ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting for capital expenditures.
Prepare monthly reports comparing actual trends with budget and forecast assumptions for each business.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Use systems and tools to gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data for management reporting.
Own Global P&L reporting, mapping, and maintenance of underlying master data.
