About The Position

Neko Health is seeking a Global Security Lead to own physical security across all current and planned sites and markets. The role spans the full lifecycle of each clinic—from design and construction through opening and daily operations—and is responsible for establishing global standards, KPIs, business goals, processes, and checks while adapting requirements to local legislation and needs. The Global Security Lead will build a scalable security function and management system for clinics and offices, establish risk baselines, oversee incident management and business continuity, and coordinate physical security with Information Security and Privacy. The role also owns day-to-day security operations, vendor and guarding partner selection and management, security technology selection and implementation, reporting to the COO, and regular travel between markets.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in physical security.
  • At least 5 years leading security across multiple markets.
  • Experience setting up security for new sites from design through opening, not only managing existing sites.
  • Experience managing security vendors, guarding contracts, and budgets across several regions.
  • Experience leading incident and crisis response, including investigations and post-incident reviews.
  • Calm under pressure and trusted with sensitive information.
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and construction, real estate, and operations teams.
  • Able to travel regularly between markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in a multi-site, public-facing business such as co-working, retail, hospitality, fitness, tech, wellness, or healthcare.
  • Experience building a security function while a business scales from a few sites to many.
  • Working knowledge of electronic security systems and their integration into new builds.
  • Experience selecting and implementing systems to manage security at scale.
  • Professional certification such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Create a repeatable security opening process, including standards, checks, and sign-offs that new clinics must pass before opening.
  • Set global physical security standards for access control, CCTV, guarding, visitor management, and incident reporting, with local variations where required by law.
  • Write security requirements into new clinic plans with construction and real estate teams before designs are final, and check security at handover.
  • Build working relationships with local police and authorities in each market.
  • Establish and locally adapt a global security management system for day-to-day security across clinics and offices.
  • Create a risk baseline for every open clinic and office, identifying priorities and owners.
  • Lead incident management, business continuity, preventative security, and lessons-learned reviews after incidents.
  • Develop security-event business continuity plans with operations and risk teams.
  • Coordinate physical security controls with Information Security and Privacy to protect patient data.
  • Establish the security operating model, defining central and regional responsibilities and a hiring plan.
  • Own day-to-day security management to maintain safe and secure environments for members and staff.
  • Set service standards for guards and front-of-house teams interacting with members and visitors.
  • Establish incident and escalation processes, out-of-hours coverage, and emergency and crisis response plans; test them through drills.
  • Develop a process for investigating incidents involving members, staff, vendors, and partners in collaboration with HR and legal.
  • Select, contract, and manage security vendors and guarding partners in each market, with shared service levels and a clear budget.
  • Report regularly to the COO on incidents, near misses, cost per site, and open risks.
  • Select and implement systems used to manage security globally.
