About The Position

As a Global Procurement Specialist, Professional Services, you will play a key role in supporting WSP's global operations by supporting procurement activities related to professional services categories, including legal, financial, and consulting services. In close collaboration with Global Procurement leadership and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to driving cost savings, improving operational efficiency, ensuring ESG compliance, and fostering continuous improvement through rigorous procurement practices and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations, including exposure to professional services categories.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement processes, supplier management, contract administration, and category management.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret supplier data, spend trends, and market insights.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in e-procurement platforms, digital procurement systems, and procurement analytics or reporting tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory); proficiency in French is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of sustainability principles, ethical sourcing, and global procurement practices, including risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and conduct procurement processes (RFx) and analyze supplier proposals to support strategic procurement decisions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on defined criteria, while supporting negotiations related to contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
  • Support contract development and ensure the accuracy of documentation and governance within procurement systems.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, track performance indicators, and monitor compliance with contractual terms, escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, ESG standards, and regulatory requirements, including tracking and reporting on ESG compliance.
  • Utilize digital procurement platforms to manage procurement activities, reporting, and analytics, and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, provide procurement updates, and support the preparation of presentations and reports.
  • Analyze spend data, prepare cost analyses, track savings achieved, and ensure the accuracy of purchase orders for assigned categories.
