About The Position

The Physical Security Operations Manager is responsible for developing and guiding the company’s physical security programs globally, collaborating across regions to deliver initiatives that are risk tolerant and appropriate. This role will champion innovation, identifying where & when to bring the power of AI to bear as a force multiplier across deployed systems and tool sets. The role will be operational, administrative, tactical and strategic all in the same day.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with progressive responsibility in a physical security corporate environment, tech industry preferred
  • Proven experience supporting large‑scale security operations across distributed global sites.
  • Strong knowledge of security systems (access control, video surveillance, alarms, GSOC platforms, visitor management).
  • Experience managing vendors, security force programs, and service contracts.
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Excellent incident management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with executive protection, C-TPAT, AEO programs
  • Comfortable developing organizational budgets, financial forecasts and tracking tools
  • Ability to deliver on multiple, simultaneous priorities in a fast‑paced, sometimes ambiguity heavy, setting

  • Experience in complex security organizations in tech, manufacturing, R&D labs, or highly regulated industries.
  • Practiced analytical mindset, the ability to identify, articulate, and manage risk, and excellent written skills to report on both safety and security-related risks
  • Familiarity with emergency management, crisis response, or continuity planning.
  • Experience with global security operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Business, or related field
  • Recent work examples demonstrating delivery of innovative solutions showcasing integration and/or optimization

Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day regional security operations, including access control, surveillance systems, security incident management, and security force performance.
  • Optimize the relationship between the GSOC and the regional SOCs, creating a co-dependent model that has effective communications and information sharing at the center of the operational philosophy applicable), ensuring timely monitoring and response.
  • Develop and maintain physical security guidance, process and employee facing policies in partnership with regional security leaders
  • Support regular, ongoing site assessments to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and required remediation
  • Act as the primary Global Physical Security representative for Business Continuity Planning purposes
  • Manage or support investigations related to theft, unauthorized access, or other security events.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and leadership for sensitive or high‑risk cases.
  • Assist the Systems Team with database housekeeping, new install design and programing & audits
  • Prior experience with security force contractual management is necessary to act as a qualified resource to drive quality and continual improvement across all regional engagements
  • Institute an audit process to rigorously measure KPIs and SLAs and the subsequent remedial action plans
  • Conduct regular physical security risk assessments across offices, labs, contract manufacturers, RMA or data center environments.
  • Create an audit ready organization based on prior observations & recommendations
  • Support business continuity, crisis management, and emergency preparedness planning.
  • Drive development and delivery of continual security awareness programs for employees that are relevant and relatable
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across departments to advance security culture.
  • Assist in the development of AOP and CAPEX forecasts
  • Develop KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards to measure program effectiveness.
